This is a M1910 scabbard for the WW1 US M1905 Bayonet. It is in excellent condition.
This scabbard was produced between the years of 1916 and 1922. In 1916 the US was no longer able to import the green dye from Germany that was previously used due to its war with England and France. Based on my research, the M1910 scabbard production ended in 1922. The rivet on the back was added by many individual units to prevent the canvas from becoming separate from the wood and leather internal part of the scabbard.
The double hook wire and both bayonet catches are in great shape as seen in the pictures. You will be hard pressed to locate a M-1910 scabbard in this condition.
