If you are from a state that restricts high-capacity magazines and you place an order to purchase any pre-ban high-capacity magazine from us, you must either email (
[email protected]
) or fax (612) 430-8639 a copy of your Large Capacity License issued by your state along with your order number within 3 days of your purchase. Once received we will verify the name and address to your order and if a good match your order will begin shipment processing. Failure to submit a copy of your permit will result in your order being cancelled, a $5 fee for processing charged against initial payment, and the remainder of your order total refunded. We must charge this $5 fee as we are charged processing fees for both your initial payment and the refund by our credit card processor.
We are posting these magazines separately by manufacturer for our customers use in identifying by manufacturer.
A little history of the 20-round magazines (Reference James Wesley):
Early Air Force contract 20 round. Circa 1965-1967. Earliest had bright alloy followers, later manufacture had dull followers. Scarce. Marked Colt w/prancing pony and ".223" on floorplate.
Note: The general rule is that pre-1969 20 round Colt-made magazines are marked "CAL. .223" and that 1969 and later production 20s are marked "CAL. 5.56MM".
Army and late Air Force contract 20 round. Circa 1966 to 1971. Dull alloy followers. Most marked Colt w/pony. A few are marked Simmonds or Adventureline on floorplate.
Army and late Air Force contract 20 round. Circa 1969 to 1971. Dull alloy followers. Marked Colt Firearm Division" w/pony and "5.56 MM" on floorplate.
Colt commercial 20 round. Circa 1980 to 1989. Black plastic followers. Marked Colt w/pony on floorplate.
Colt law enforcement sales 20 round. Circa 1995 to present. (Not sold on the civilian market. Bodies are date stamped to indicate that they are of "post ban" manufacture.) Black plastic followers. Marked "Colts Mfg. Co." and "CAL. 5.56MM" w/pony on floorplate.
All of these magazines are from a 1980 to 1989 Commercial contract with Colt.
The Baseplates are marked as follows:

ARSONS, KS. U.S.A.
We have included multiple photos of these magazines for you to determine the condition for yourself. All of the followers slide easily to the bottom of the mag and back to the top when physically manipulated by me.
